Diabetes is affecting our country at an alarming rate. Daily, researchers are developing new and inventive ways to treat and cure a disease that has altered the lives of 20.8 million children and adults in the United States alone. Saturday, March 17, 2007 Medwise and Canvas Records present the Heart for Diabetes Benefit Concert.

Join us as at the George R. Brown Convention center in downtown Houston, Texas as we raise funds to further research treatment methods and a cure for Diabetes. Special guest performances at the Heart for Diabetes Benefit include Regina Belle, Kirk Whalum, Chris Walker, Lirio Vital, Peter White, Houston’s own Lyric, and many more.

This is a concert with a purpose. Our heart goes out to those families affected by diabetes. We believe that there is a cure for diabetes and this concert is doing its part to help find it.

Our MC for the evening is Deborah Duncan, celebrated anchorwoman from KHOU channel 11 and advocate for diabetes research.
